As Graduation Approaches

As Graduation Approaches

After being here five years, I finally have to go back to Japan to get a job.  I am an international student and I think studying in a different country was a great experience.

There are about 2,000 international students at CSUN, but I just know  international students who are journalism majors. I think the journalism major is one of the most difficult for international students because of our limited English.I actually felt difficulty in studying, but professors helped me a lot and classmates as well. The two best experiences for me were the “Daily Sundial” and “Scene Magazine.” I didn’t  know what I could contribute to them, but working on the school newspaper and  magazine with fellow students was really fun. Actually for me all journalism classes were great. I will never forget the experiences I had in Manzanita Hall.

When I started five years ago, I remember I couldn’t speak any English. I couldn’t imagine I would graduate from a four-year univeristy. I couldn’t imagine getting a degree in journalism.

 Now, I’m almost there!
